Last year, Hoang and I embarked on an endeavor to cycle around Singapore's entire island. Unfortunately, I couldn't complete the entire circuit at that time. Today, I resumed my journey to finish what I had started, ready to explore the roads once again.
The image below showcases the route that Hoang (Eric), Viet, and I - undertook:
In the previous year, we tackled the challenge under the scorching sun, a true test of our endurance. This time around, we opted for a nocturnal approach to avoid the heat. We commenced our ride from SMU to Vivo City, traversing the West Coast Highway. Our path led us to Jalan Buroh, skirting Pandan Reservoir, and then continuing straight to Jalan Bahar-Lim Chu Kang Road, the sole route to the Cemeteries area of Singapore. All of this took place during the 7th Lunar month, adding an intriguing dimension to our journey.
Our route continued through Kranji and Woodlands Checkpoint, where we took a well-deserved break at Woodlands Jetty. Following that, we followed the coastal road to Punggol Point Jetty. The next leg of our journey took us to Changi Beach Park, where we eagerly awaited the break of dawn. Navigating the Tanah-Merah Coast Road, we aimed to cover as much ground as possible, eventually reaching East Coast Park. From there, the path was clear as we followed the PCN route back to Marina Bay and finally returned to SMU, completing the loop.
Here are some captivating snapshots that we captured during our adventure:
Woodlands Checkpoint, one of the busiest land border crossing, connecting Singapore and Johor Bahru of Malaysia.
A serene moment at Changi Beach Park before sunrise, providing us with a chance to rest and witness the day's beginning.
The breathtaking sunrise itself.
Elegant smoke trails left in the sky, a sight to behold.
Amazing timelapse capturing the sunrise.
